Saturday's game between Belogorie Belgorod and Zenit Kazan. There was real battle between Mikhaylov-Anderson duo and Grozer-Muserskiy. Zenit Kazan has been beaten by Belogorie Belgorod in the first semi-final of the 2014 Champions League Final Four after exciting four sets game. Belogorie won that game 3:1. They advanced to the final just like 10 years ago in season 2003/04 (they won with Iskra Odintsovo in the final). Dmitriy Muserskiy played great competition, he ended most important balls, had 56% efficiency in attack and he scored 17 points. On the opposite side Maxim Mikhaylov was the best player of Zenit Kazan team. He scored 12 points. Vladimir Alekno, head coach of Zenit, was obviously sad with the outcome, but wished all the best to Belogorie in the final battle. "Volleyball is like mathematics and if you make as many mistakes as we did today, you end up losing, so this defeat does not come as a surprise to us. At the same time I would like to congratulate the team of Belogorie and wish them the best of luck for the final where we hope they will win the title and carry on the Russian supremacy in this competition", said Alekno.
