Canada won the first match in World Cup 2015 after five uncertain sets against Egypt. Best scorer in Canada was Gavin Schmitt with 21 points while Abdelhay scored 36 for Egypt. Ahmed said: "Canada is experience and higher ranked. We lost in five sets. It was very difficult with our mistakes and tough to beat them with their experience. The result is the result and even if I played well we lost."
