Castellani leaves Kędzierzyn-Koźle, Santilli in Andreoli Latina After one year of work in PlusLiga, Castellani decided to change his employer. Who will replace him? Slivano Prandi is stepping down as a head coach of Italian team Andreoli Latina. Instead, club decided to hire Roberto Santilli, for whom the last season was not very lucky.

The official website of Kędzierzyn-Koźle revealed the information about Daniel Castellani leaving new Polish vice-champion. Castellani chose to quit soon after finishing this last season with Kędzierzyn. Although Kedzierzyn-Kozle has been playing an outstanding volleyball for a huge part of season (they won Polish Cup and earned Final Four of Champions League), in the end they had to live with the silver medal of PlusLiga and the last position in European Finals.

For now we don't know what will be Castellani's next step, but he is probably going back to Turkey. He already has an experience with this country as a head coach of Fenerbahce Istanbul - he led this team to the championship in 2011.

Latina is not really a new thing for Santilli. He has already been working in this club. First on the season 2000/2001 (when Latina was participating Serie A2) and then he came back in 2004 and left over a year later.

Last season wasn't very lucky for Italian coach. He was working with Iskra Odintcovo of Russia, but he left in January this year,
due to financial issues.

In the past he was also leading teams like Jastrzębski Wegiel, Tonno Callipo Vibo Valentia or Lube Banca Macerata.

Castellani leaves Zaksa...it's ok but the fact that Fonteles goes to the same club as Daniel is really sad ? Lipe was really unique not only because of his skills but in vevry ather part of "volleyball life". We miss him already (not only Zaksa fans?) It's really hard to find such player and such human ? Fantastic guy and all the best for him ?)
Daniel goes for money again and that's normal, we accept it but now I'm sure that all his words about Zaksa and Fenerbahe were just bullshit...he should just say "good bye" without all this theater...

Somebody just payed him more. It isn't good news for ZAKSA but not that bad for Plusliga. He showed us his skills and our coaches and players learned from him already enough.
It's a good time for Polish coaches to master their coaching skills. I hope that one Big name would be contracted so we can learn something from him and other teams would have Polish coaches.
