Mikko Esko (born September 3, 1978 in Vammala) is a professional volleyball player from Finland. He was playing on his career in Finland, Germany, Belgium, Italy and Russia.

In next season he will play for Russian Nizhny Novgorod again. Esko started his career in Finnish Vammalan Lentopallo.
He played there in years 1995-1997. After that he moved to Keski-Savon Pateri. After joining Pateri he get bronze of Finnish League. He was chosed as best rookie player of that season. Second season spent in Pateri was also success for Esko. He won Finnish League and Finnish Cup. In season 1998/99 Esko won with Pateri bronze again. Next he signed a contract with Generali Unterchahing, club from German Bundesliga. He won bronze in his first season in Germany. In next season he won German Cup. Then he signed a contract with Belgian Noliko Maaseik. He became Belgian Champion and won Belgium Cup in his first season in Maaseik. In 2005 he won with Maaseik Belgium Cup and silver medal of Belgian Volleyliga. After two years in Belgium Esko moved to the strongest league in the world. He signed a contract with Sempre Volley Padova. He was nominated to play in Italian
All-Stars Game 2006/07 and 2007/08. In season 2008/09 Esko played in Acqua Paradiso Gabeca Montichiari. Then he moved to Modena. In 2012 he moved to Russian Superliga (Nizhny Novgorod). Esko played for the first time in the national team in 2000 in match against Estonia. He made his breakthrough in national team in 2004, when he became first setter. In 2006 he debuted in World league (Finland took 11th place then). In next year they took 7th place in World League. In EuroVolley 2007 Finland achieved historical success and advanced for the first time to the 4 the best teams in the Europe. Esko was playing also as a beach volleyball player during his career. Esko is married to Saara who is also a professional volleyball player.
