The stars on EuroVolley 2013: Wytze Kooistra (Netherlands) Wytze Kooistra (born 3 June 1982) is an Dutch middle-blocker, who played for Polish club: Skra Bełchatów in season 2012/13.

During his career he played on several position like: middle-blocker, wing-spiker and spiker. His career started in 2000 when he signed contract with Lycurgus from Netherlands. In seasons 2002/03, 2003/04 and 2004/05 he played for the famous Dutch club: Piet Zoomers. Kooistra was the best middle-blocker of the Dutch League 2004/05. He won Top Teams Cup during his first season in Netherlands. He was MVP of Dutch A-League 2004/05. After spending three seasons in Piet Zoomers, he signed a contract with Trentino Volley. He said: "I decided to wait for an offers from Italian Serie A. Finally I got some offers and I signed a contract with Itas Diatec Trentino. My dreams come true. I always dreamed of playing in the strongest league in the world from a child". His team took 4th place in Serie A 2005/06. The Dutch middle-blocker played also in teams such like: M. Roma Volley (2006-2008) and Trenkwalder Modena (2008-2011). With M. Roma Volley he won CEV Cup 2007/08 (they defeated Noliko Maaseik 3:0 in the final). Kooistra was player of Skra Bełchatów since 2011. In season 2011/12, he scored only 39 points in Polish Plusliga and was one of the biggest disappointment of the season. In the next season, he played 23 matches and scored 171 points (average 7,4 points a match). He will play in season 2013/14 in Czarni Radom. In EuroVolley 2013, he will play for Dutch national team in group C against Finland, Serbia and Slovenia.
