Other features include a wide range of amusement sites, art and heritage museums, and about one kilometre of pedestrian streets with more than 150 shops, stretching from Bruun’s Galleri shopping centre to the main square by Aarhus Cathedral and the trend-setting Latin Quarter.

Herning has a lot to offer besides the world class volleyball in the preliminary group C. Herning is situated in the heart of Jutland, about 170 kilometres from the German border and three and a half hours drive from Copenhagen. The city is known for its open friendliness, varied architecture, active sports life and rich cultural life – to put it in a nutshell; a city with everything. Enjoy the magnificent setting of the Trehøje Heath, take a bike ride through the beautiful scenery along the bicycle path ”Alhedestien” between Herning and Viborg, go canoeing and sleep in shelters along the creek or simply go fishing in the Karup or Skjern River.

There are a lot of things to see and do in Odense besides seeing world class volleyball in the preliminary group A at EuroVolley2013. Odense is the third largest city of Denmark and the capital of Funen but internationally it is still a quite small city with about 170.000 inhabitants and a cozy atmosphere. The spirit of the famous Danish fairytale writer Hans Christian Andersen who was born here is all over the city and you can experience both his childhood home, a wonderful museum with lots of activities for children and the 18th century atmosphere in the small cobbled streets around it.

The Preliminary Group B consisting of Poland, Slovakia, France and Turkey/Latvia will be played here. Do you going to Gdańsk for EuroVolley2013? Besides hosting the preliminary group B, there are lot of things to see and do in the city. The city lies on the southern edge of Gdańsk Bay (of the Baltic Sea), in a conurbation with the city of Gdynia, spa town of Sopot, and suburban communities, which together form a metropolitan area called the Tricity (Trójmiasto).

In 2013 the Preliminary Group D consisting of Russia, Bulgaria, Germany and The Czech Republic will be played here.
Gdynia is a relatively modern city. Its architecture includes the 13th century St. Michał Anioł in Oksywie, the oldest building in Gdynia, and the 17th century neo-Gothic manor house located on Folwarczna Street in Orłowo. The city also holds many examples of early 20th century architecture, especially monumentalism and early functionalism, and modernism. The surrounding hills and the coastline attract many nature lovers. Gdynia is also the host of the Heineken Open'er Festival, one of the biggest contemporary music festivals in Poland. The festival welcomes many foreign hip-hop, rock and electronic music artists every year.
