Brother of Rodrigo Quiroga in action! Gonzalo, agreed terms with Padova and will play in Italy during next season. "I have great expectations in Italy. Santiago Orduna is the other Argentine at Padova and will certainly give a special flavour to this team. Quiroga was named a first-team AVCA All-America selection for the second straight season following his senior year. He finished as the school’s all-time leader in aces (194) after posting nine matches in 2014 with at least three and matching his personal high of six in one match during a win over BYU. Quiroga ranked fourth in the nation in service aces per set (0.50) and was ninth in the NCAA in points scored per set (4.50).

Just before Christmas, we had the 11th round of Serie A 2014/15. Tonazzo Padova beat Copra Piacenza 3:2. Andrea Radici (coach of Copra Piacenza) said on the press conference: "we performed badly as a team". Mattia Rosso is on the great shape. He scored 22 points and he got MVP award. Maxim Zhigalov's powerful serve left no chance to Argentina, as Russia won 3:0 (25:17, 25:18, 25:19) on the first World League match this season. Zhigalov scored 18 points for Russia, including impressive six aces. On Argentina's side Gonzalo Quiroga scored 12 points in his World League debut.

Argentina claims the first victory in World League, winning over Bulgaria in five sets - 3:2 (25:23, 23:25, 20:25, 25:21, 15:12). Cristian Poglajen pushed the team to take two points against Bulgarians. Poglajen scored 19 points, while Gonzalo Quiroga continues great start in Argentina senior national team with 16 points. Tsvetan Sokolov was Bulgaria’s strongest point again, scoring impressive 29 points. The second best scorer on Bulgarian side was middle blocker Nikolay Nikolov with 15 points.
