In this match my girls played excellent. Everything that we set up before the game, worked out fine. They had a good block and a fabulous attack, and that's why we won against tall Russian team. Now, we look forward the next match against the winner between Brazil and Dominican Republic., said with a big smile on his face a Polish head coach, Andrzej Pec. Russian head coach Valeri Iouriev was mad at his girls because on yesterday's practice they did only blocking, and today their block was to slow for Polish fast actions.

Brazil Scared To Play Poland In Semi-finals
Brazil starts losing a set, but continues to fight. They did not have any problems in the next three sets, mainly because Dominican Republic had many errors and poor defense, so South American team deserves the victory and proceedes to semi-finals. Wadson Lima, a Brazilian head coach was happy about his team's success: This was a tough game and Dominican Republic was not an easy opponent. I'm happy we won. It won't be easy in semi-finals to play against Poland because they are playing really good. Today Poland showed an excellent volleyball against Russia.

Defending Champion Cannot Play For A Medal
Both teams play an extraordinary fast volleyball with a brilliant defense. Today, Chinese team was slightly ahead each set, and Japanese did not have a formula to catch them. Japanese players had a hard time with the serve receive where they realized only 19,9%, compared to 46,6% of the team from China. Also, China was better in serving and blocking. Defending champion now has to play for a position between the fifth and the eight place.
