Georgi Bratoev

NightFox 2013-05-01 • 9561 views • 32

This movie is absolutely great! Just his great sets to single block or without block, his tips, blocks and other amazing actions collected in one movie. Georgi Bratoev is the new bulgarian setter after the leaving of Andrey Zhekov. Bratoev impressed with his game at the World League 2012 and The Olympics 2012. He became "the best setter" in the both tournaments and amazed many people. His twin brother Valentin Bratoev is also in the bulgarian NT team, but for now only Georgi can find a place in the starting squad.

Polite talking and manners should be learned from young age, no one should "deserve" civilized behaviour in civilized society. Politeness is because you respect yourself and your image in other people's eyes, it is also way to decrease fightings and mortality from them. It is not a medal, won after a competition.Too bad in Bulgaria we don't know things which are like air for people in Western Europe, they don't even think about them.

I will write this, because you clearly didn't understand the first time. I am not OK with cursing, vulgarisms and arrogant behaviour. It is not about the opinion AT ALL. You may be don't have a problem to be treated badly, I but do. May be I need to write it 100000 times more: IT IS ABOUT THE VULGARISMS AND ARROGANT BEHAVIOUR I can't respect even the most knowledgeable person if he behaves in a such way.

For me the best setter in the Olympic Games was Bruno Rezende, statistics especially for the setter are often not accurate index of the quality. Just think that De Cecco was far behind as compared to Bratoev in the Olympic's efficiency.Statistic often not respect the values in the court. This is not to say that Bratoev not a good setter.

It's not about the analysis, it is the attitude. I don't tolerate anything like this in my life, I will not tolerate it in here. I will take the analysis part when they start talking like civilized people and mean it.

Pesazi, I can honestly say u are an idiot. I've watched probably 100 highlights of players and I don't say I like every player. I said that I liked him because Bulgarian NT is my favorite and, if u read my comment again, I made comparison with him and Zhekov and although I liked Andrey's athletic style more, I admit that Bratoev is a better setter for the team. But following ur dumb logic u only wanted to put Bratoev down and make people who liked him look bad, u only came up looking like a moron. And u argue that because of his rough fingers he is a bad setter?

Good movie. He's mutch bette than Zekov. A lot of rough sets, but he is often toying with opponents' block and is leaving his spikers vs one man block.

He's better option than Zhekov, at least now we can attack in the center and the block can be fooled and not concentrated in the outside zones.

I wouldn't call another medalless year a success, personally. What I see from 2004 to 2013 is period of failed potential. 3 bronze medals and too many missed opportunities for more medals or better medal colour Pesazi, I am talking for 2011 ECH, I clipped all sets to the opposite, I have them on my PC and in almost every of them the opposite is ahead of the block. P.S. I am glad that at least someone sees the role of Skrimov. In other forums people said that he has no talent and he is a weak player. P.S.P.S. For the "smart guys" - good setting technique and good setter are not equivalent things. I will leave you this thought for processing

I thought I was mean, but after reading this evil Pesazi guy I feel like an angel… Why, why God this Pesazi hates Bratoev so much? What? What are you telling me, God? Are you sure? You said “Bratoev sucks”. Okay! Thank God that evil Zyta will arrive only tomorrow, otherwise the good people here couldn’t stand so much evilness without a pause to breathe.

Quote (Pesazi)
Sokolov obviously carried Bulgaria in attacking, but the true reason for their success (success is very relative in this case) was Skrimov. He gave the team a new identity, leaving this old "serve, block and Matey" strategy that brought Bulgaria nowhere.

“Serve, block and Matey”. Hahahaha... Perfect definition! I’d say Skrimov gave the Bulgarians more stability. I have a Dante’s interview talking about how surprised he was with some Bulgarian players in 2012 – but obviously I won’t copy it here, so they’ll be dying to know what he said. Skrimov and Sokolov are great assets for Bulgaria. If only they had a better setter… But nooooo, they have Bratoev, a guy that remind us of Zhekov, that useless, untalented setter, a guy that almost makes Zygadlo thinks he can be considered a real setter.

Quote (Pesazi)
Before you say I'm a Bulgaria hater - Dimitrov has very good hands. Hopefully he's given a chance soon.

Why someone would be a Bulgaria hater? They play such a beautiful game, so rich, so much technique, they have lots of talents… No, wait… That’s Cameroon – the best of the best. I made a mistake.

Pesazi, I can’t wait to see Dimitrov being given a real chance on the Bulgarian team. I saw him playing in the Bulgarian league (yes, they have one), that evil girl Champion gave me some links, so I was there… Trying to find some reason to keep watching (I guess people in that small gym too, once there was only half a dozen guys watching Sofia Gods vs. Varna Lions). Suddenly I noticed that Dimitrov guy, and I couldn’t deny there was talent on the court. That boy is what Bulgaria needs to achieve more significant things in vball, maybe reaching the elite. Think about it, they have good hitters and blockers. Okay, their passing and digging isn’t superb, but they can improve. With a decent libero, a solid receiver like that talented Skrimov, and then Dimitrov setting… Believe me, they’ll be much stronger.

Quote (Pesazi)
Ridiculous, show me those stats! More than that, personal players' stats don't win matches, you gotta see the bigger picture. Btw, the best setter (we're talking about setting only here) is probably William.

Hahahahahaha

BTW, the best setter is probably the Cameroonian guy, but let’s discuss this some other time.

Quote (Pesazi)
Will you like me too if I send you a highlight tape of my plays? Please like me! I never saw a highlight video which make a player look bad...

Hahahahahaha (2)

That’s the problem of 99% of the movies here… They show nothing. Well, when someone doesn’t get the sport, you can’t expect them to give you something… It’s like expecting some quality from… Let’s say, Bratoev. LOL

Actually a really, really nice movie, NightFox. It makes Bratoev look pretty good which he is certainly not. The only thing he provides is a good connection with Sokolov. But it's rather Sokolov who makes him look good than the other way round.

Sokolov obviously carried Bulgaria in attacking, but the true reason for their success (success is very relative in this case) was Skrimov. He gave the team a new identity, leaving this old "serve, block and Matey" strategy that brought Bulgaria nowhere. Bratoev distributed the balls more or less, but I can't see anything special in his setting. His passes to the left side seemed often unprecise to me, his play with the middles diesn't impress either. But the worst about him is his technique. I don't know who of you guys saw him live, but his fingers are stiff and his hands aren't smooth at all. Before you say I'm a Bulgaria hater - Dimitrov has very good hands. Hopefully he's given a chance soon.

Quote (rayray)
even De Cecco can't handle cases with poor reception like him (Zhekov) even if he is the best setter in the world. I am speaking from clean, pure, stats, not just random impressions

After watching this movie, I'm starting to like him...Zhekov was only more athletic, in every other segment Bratoev is a better setter and his sets to middle blockers can't even be compared to Zhekov's terrible ones BTW NightFox I'm still waiting a movie of Todor Skrimov from u:)

hanes233, that's not true for the opposites, Zhekov is great with them. I made movies for all matches in 2011 ECH and in every match the opposite was ahead of the block most of the time - he did the same with Copra. He sets fast. Bratoev is better with the MB's which sets the opposite free more often and he tips better, but the fast sets to the wings especially from bad reception are Zhekov's best quality - even De Cecco can't handle cases with poor reception like him even if he is the best setter in the world. I am speaking from clean, pure, stats, not just random impressions. BTW, Stoychev has enormous impact for Bratoev's skills, the training in 2011 elevated him to world level

wow, this is really good movie! lots of material and what is important - you didn't just put random actions, you picked up the best ones. thanks for you work! about Bratoev - to be honest, at the beginning i didn't know this guy and i wrongly assumed that he was worse than Zhekov and generally, he won't handle playing as 1st setter. how wrong was i !! and this movie shows that perfectly

Bulgaria's sucess in the Olympics was based mainly on him and Sokolov, before you could see that most times Andrei did set to Kaziyski and Nikolov and they had double and triple block against them most of the times, no wonder why Bulgaria didn't acheve that much glory as their team might have acheved with him and no Alaxiev in the starting 6! He has developed so much, he is the most improved setter in the world in 2012 in my opinion, he does some AMAZING actions and has a very good float serve. NightFox your movies are one of my favourites, and I also like that you show sets to a certain position consecutively, other movie makers should also do that in all movies where spikes and sets are done, becouse than you can observe it alot more easely and you can also make a movie with higher tempo :)
