Sheilla started to play volleyball for Mackenzie, in 97. Three years later, she already defended the Youth Brazilian National team, winning the South American Championship, in Medellín (Colombia). In 2000, the player was transferred to Minas Tênis Clube and ended the Superliga 00/01 in third place. In 2001, Sheilla arrived in the Junior National team and achieved the World Championship title, in Dominican Republic. In 2002, playing for MRV/Minas, she finished the Supercopa dos Campeões in fourth and won the gold medal in the Superliga 01/02. In 2005, was in the Brazilian team that conquered the Courmayeur Championship, the Montreux Volley Masters, the South American Championship, the World Grand Champions Cup (where she was elected the best player) and guaranteed a place in 2006 World Championship. In 2006, she won the Courmayeur Championship, the Montreux Volley Masters and the sixth title of the Grand Prix. She was also chosen the Grand Prix's MVP. In the last competition of the year, the World Championship, she got the second place. In 2007, she was second place in the Pan-American Games, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and in the World Cup, in Japan. She also finished in the fifth place in World Grand Prix and won the South American Championship. Sheilla won three gold medals with the Brazilian Team in 2008: the Olympic Games, the World Grand Prix and the Final Four. She also participated in the Montreux Volley Masters' title, in 2009. After this she won the Pan American Cup, the Qualifying Tournament for the World Championship-2010, the FIVB Grand Prix being elected the MVP, the South American Championship, and finish in second place at the Grand Champions Cup. In 2010, Sheilla helped Brazil to achieve the silver medal in the FIVB World Grand Prix and n the FIVB World Championship. In 2011, Sheilla had decisive performances in the conquests of the South American Championship and the Pan American Cup titles. In both competitions, she was elected the most valuable player. She also helped Brazil to achieve the silver medal in the FIVB World Grand Prix. In 2012, Sheilla had an amazing performance in the London Olympic Games and helped Brazil to win the gold medal. In 2013, Sheilla helped Brazil to win the World Grand Prix, the South American Championship and the Grand Champions Cup. In 2014, Sheilla helped Brazil to win the gold medal in the World Grand Prix. She had a great performance in the competition in was elected the best opposite spiker. In 2014, she helped Brazil to win the gold medal in the FIVB World Grand Prix and the bronze medal in the FIVB World Championship in Italy.
