Italy - Russia (World League 2013, full match)

Russian team secured a place in the great final of the World League 2013. It was not without the thrill - Alexey Spiridonov had to leave the playing field just before the end of the match (21:18, fourth set). The best scorer of match was Nikolay Pavlov with 21 points (54% ina attack). Italy's player Ivan Zaytsev scored 17 points (47% in attack). "The first set we won easily, they were playing their third match in a row, in the second one they played better and after the break we began to make some mistakes. Italy is a well prepared team and don't forgive these kind of mistakes. I don't agree with Spiridonov's red card because he didn't do anything to make things worst in that moment, but it's just a game and we are very happy to be finalists", said Andrey Voronkov, coach of Russian national team. Russia in the final match will play against Brazil.
