One of the best players of Cuban volleyball. Leon refused to play for Cuba's national team after not being allowed to play abroad. Leal received a few offers from Europe but none pleased the Cuban authorities so they’re only letting play in Brazil. The great thing is that Joandry Leal can finally spread his wings again, wear his volleyball shoes and play the sport he loves after 2 years of inactivity. We could still picture in our heads his spectacular performances at the 2010 World League and 2010 World Championship.

Yoandry Leal is certainly one of the best volleyball players in Brazil ever. After four years playing wonderfully at Sada Cruzeiro, he finally got the Brazilian passport and became a Brazilian citizen in Mars 2016. How knows fans could watch Leal in action with Brazilian NT soon...
