Marcus Nilsson in years 2003-2005 played for Greek club: Pannelinios GS. He won gold medal in Greek Second League in season 2003/04. In season 2004/05 his team took 6th place in Greek A1. Nilsson was best scorer, best spiker and best server in that season. The Swedish spiker played also in teams such like: Paris Volley (2005-2006), Iraklis Thessaloniki (2006-2009), Dinamo Kaliningrad (2009-2010) and Copra Piacenza (2012-2011). Iraklis took 2nd place in the Champions League 2008/09. Marcus was the best player (MVP) in that tournament. He joined the Polish team: Fart Kielce before season 2011/12. He played 23 matches in that season. He scored 355 points (average 3,94 in one match). In season 2012/13 he played for Russian Lokomotiv Novosibirsk. Russian team won incredible final in Champions League! There was real battle between and Sokolov-Nilsson. After winning Champions League, two players of Lokomotiv Novosibirsk were chosen for an individual awards. Lokomotiv was led by Denis Biryukov and Marcus Nilsson who deservedly gained the most valuable player title. Marcus is player of Kuzbass Kemerovo since 2013.
