During the disasterous earthquake in Turkey, ten thousands of people lost their lives, under the rubbles of collapsed buildings. Yet, the number of the people who are under the rubbles of collapsed buildings (dead or alive) are unknown.
Every coming news is adding more pain in our hearts. So far, 44 players and team staff lost their lives in total. 24 of them are from the Mağusa (Famagusta) college teams - boys and girls of TRNC (Turkish Republic of North Cyprus). No players survived. They were participating to a national volleyball tournament in Türkiye and winning all games.
Other most affected team is ‘Rasus Kimya Hatay Voleybol’. They lost 8 players. Elçin Çınar, Ece Yürek, Gözde Öztürk, Ahsen Baş, Dilek Mucuk and Irem Kurtoğlu profiles, exist in volleybox.net
