Russia - Brazil (World League 2001, semi-final)

Bernardo Rezende became coach of Brazilian national team in 2001. There was second World League Champion title for Brazilian team in the history and first title of Bernardinho's team. Team leaded by Rezende won 8 of 13 editions of World League in years 2001-2013. How Bernardo mentions that tournament? "First of all that was my first success as a coach of Men Brazilian NT and also beginning of a beautiful way full of victories. I remember that our first match played in Spodek was game against Poland, which we won 3:1 and even then fans were very spontaneously. Polish audience is one of the best in the world. It's amazing how people are passionate about volleyball here. I'm impressed their knowledge and the way how they feel associated with volleyball." In June 2011 he said: "In my opinion Spodek in Katowice is the best hall to playing volleyball in the world. Atmosphere in that place has great impact on players." You could see burning talent of Giba (look at spike his spike on 11:50) and amazing left-handed Andre Nascimento (admire his great technique at 12:50).
