B2 group F has been changed to all ages

Account Verification 1 year ago +2

@Fran Unfortunately it appears nobody is maintaining the site. I wonder how the database records can be preserved when all of a sudden the plug could get pulled and the site could just disappear.

Roster of SRB U21 1 year ago 0

Best way to request is to remove numbers for all irrelevant players, and ask non-numbered players to be deleted.

This cannot be solved without introducing B teams. Players are associated with tournaments as per-event assignments, but staffs are associated with teams as employments.

Currently B team is only being tested for Poland it appears.

Account verification plus limiting # of messages/chats per hour until a certain number of points are accrued.

Removing matches 1 year ago 0

Looks like a bug. Changing to the bug category. The matches were removed.

@martin1996 The tournament ended. Not sure when U21 NTs will be created. I have put in U20 teams for now to capture the results.

Age Group Problem 1 year ago 0

Continental championships (qualifiers for world championships) are always paired with world championships in the following year.

For Men's age groups,

Continental U18 → World U19 next year. (Used U19 teams for both in Volleybox)

Continental U20 → World U21 next year. (Used U21 teams for both in Volleybox)

Volleybox CEV Men's age-group championship names has been changed to CEV U18 and CEV U20 (and added old U19/U21 reference in the alt names).

Compare that to Women's section with too many age group national teams across all of U16, U17, U18, U19, U20, and upcoming U21 team next year. Some continental federation made changes this year to align with FIVB decision to adopt the same ages U19 and U21 for both of Men's and Women's age group world championships from 2021.

There is a related thread on Women's age group teams.

@HappyWithVolleyball No, it's not the same team. This is exactly same as Takefuji taking over assets of Ito Yokado in 2001.. V league organization allows taking over S1 license when 70% or more players are retained by the new team.

See the quote from the president of V league organization in the aforementioned article saying a new team is starting. Then the rest of the article explains the history of Tokyo Gas/FC Tokyo from the beginning to the end.

この度ネイチャーラボに譲渡された新チームを始め

Tokyo Gas, founded in 1948, forming FC Tokyo in 2003 is considered continuation of the same team because Tokyo Gas was a major shareholder of FC Tokyo. That era has ended now when FC Tokyo sold off it's rights to NatureLab which has no relationship with FC Tokyo.

Also see the additional report from Nikkei and press release from NatureLab saying the same thing.

Creating a new team would make more sense like similar cases happened in Japan already in the past.

This is a new team being formed taking over FC Tokyo assets (players and S1 license) as it's clearly stated in the statement from the V.league organization. FC Tokyo has been dissolved.
