Italy and Turkey qualified into the Worlds Championship after Netherlands and Serbia have qualified to the World Championship, as host and retiring champions respectively, and Italy and Turkey will be the top two qualifiers for the European Championships regardless of placement after the semifinals.
Serbia was shock by France after France taking the first set, but Serbia able stabilized the team and they easily sweep France in the later 3 set. Tijana Boskovic easily becomes the best scorer after scoring 27 points, 22 attacks at 30 efficiency with 4 blocks and one serve.
Italy on the other hand easily handles the young Russia team, beating them in 3. None of the Russian spikers scorer double digits. Egonu along with Chirichella, Pietrini and Sylla all scored double digits.
