Zenit Kazan won the Russian Supercup trophy for the 5th time in club’s history and therefore continued their absolute volleyball domination in the country. Secondly, they also opened the Russian Championship with a win over their big rivals, as this Supercup Finals was also counted as the 1st round of the Russian Championship.
