He made also one more tip in that game, he scored 1 point in block and 1 ace serve. He was loosing an Egyptian block perfectly in that match. Bulgaria - Poland (Hubert Wagner Memorial 2010) - part 2
Second part with match between Bulgaria and Poland. Bulgaria, the second team of this year’s Hubert Jerzy Wagner’s Memorial is still far from the optimal shape. Even their star: Matey Kazijski didn’t play at the same high level all the time however still he was the best spiker of the tournament. It seems that now Bulgaria needs to improve a lot their defense and balance their shape in other elements of the art of volleyball. The hosts are also in the middle of preparations for the world championships and need to work a lot. Poland managed to win only one game against Czech Republic and had serious problems against Bulgaria. USA - Brazil (The Olympics 2008, short cut)
The volleyball world has new champions! Brazil lost in the final of the Olympic Games tournament with USA 1:3. Brazil entered better to final game and won the first set. USA did not play the same volleyball as before in semifinal against Russia. From the begining of the second set USA took the control of the game. Clayton Stanley and his services in the second set raised the USA team spirit. Brazil had big problems in the attack, only Giba and Gustavo were playing. Dante with Andre were not in the game. Bernardo Rezende was trying to find the optimal six players. It was not enough for the good balanced American team. Team of H. McCutcheon did not have any week points in the final game and deserved the victory. Hugh McCutcheon (coach of USA national team) said: "It was a very difficult match, a very difficult environment. Our guys embraced it. Brazil seemed more comfortable in the first set, but things changed in the second set, and after that it was just two teams battling hard. One of the most memorable and dramatic game of the Polish national team in The Olympics 2008. Amazing actions from battle between Poland and Russia. The Olympics are special tournament for volleyball players cause of Olympic pension. Mariusz Wlazły with 23 points was the best scorer of that game. On the press conference, Raul Lozano said: "I am very happy with the performance of the team. It's a pity that it will not be useful to step higher in the classification group. But now the quarterfinals start and everything will re-start from the beginning, and all the teams will be equal". Russia - Brazil (The Olympics 2008, short cut)
It could be training material for coaches showing how to play in defence. Look at fantastic defences at the Brazilian side. Alexey Verbov was best digger in that game with 18 digs. Nice acrobatics pose of Bruno at 2:35. Result of that match was one of the biggest surprises in that Olympic games. Andre Nascimento scored incredibly lot of points (as the 4-set match): 26 points, Mikhaylov had 19 points. World League 2011 Final Eight Highlights (Slow motion)
Great sensation in World League 2011! Nice movie presents shots in slow motion by Polish TV: Polsat Sport. Guys of Vladimir Alekno played great volleyball. Russia won the World League after long 9 years, its the second World league trophy for the Russian team. Let's celebrate one more time with Vladimir Alekno and his players. See amazing video with only the best players in the world. Russia was the best team of this edition of World League losing only one game in a group. Murilo didn't have his day and Giba couldn't do miracles by himself. Brazil won the first set, but after the change of Russian setters the match was fully in the hands of Russian team.
