Arkadiusz Gołaś was member of the Polish national team between 2001 and 2005. September 16, 2005 died in a car accident on the Austrian motorway A2 in Griffen near Klagenfurt). Arek was driving to his new club. Car driven by his wife suddenly turned to the right and crashed into a concrete wall. He was just 24 years old. In 2006 he was posthumously awarded:
Golden Cross of Merit for his sports achievements. The silver medal won by the Polish national team in the 2006 World Championship was dedicated to Arkadiusz Gołaś. A sports hall in Ostrołęka has been named after him. Since 2006 it has been the venue for the annual Arkadiusz Gołaś memorial.

Pamietam jak dawno dawno temu byłem w Łodzi na meczu LŚ, chyba Polska - Serbia i Czarnogóra. Po meczu spiker zapytal Igłę komu dedykuje to zwycięstwo (3:1), pokazał na swój nr na koszulce i potem na niebo

Nom masz Adi rację :) Wcześniej nie zwracałem na to uwagi ale Arek w ogóle bardzo podobny styl do Roba ma i w zagrywce i w nabiegu do ataku (w sensie bardzo charakterystyczny zamach przed wyskokiem :P)
