VfB Friedrichshafen in that game looked differently compared to the whole regular season, not to mention their Champions League in this year. For the first time this year Venceslav Simeonov did not feel alone on the court. Valentin Bratoev had a significant contribution to the outcome of the game. He scored 14 points, 61% in attack. His pipe spikes were a surprise element for Raymaekers and Shumov. Bulgarian player joined the team during the season. Stelian Moculescu apparently did some hard work in the break before the play-offs and the friendlies they organized, one of which in Italy against Trentino Volley, paid off now. Another tactical decision by Moculescu was the appearance of Nikola Jovović right from the start instead of the Slovakian setter: Juraj Zatko. After match in Friedrichshafen there was score: 2:0. To final will be promoted the team, which will win 3 matches.
