Amazing powerful spikes by Victor Poletaev. Young player of Russian national team, who got MVP of European Youth Championships 2013. He scored 126 points in that tournament, including 14 blocks and 13 aces (7 aces in final match). He reaches 360cm using his vertical jump. Block is 340cm. Poletaev competed in high jump in athletics and that’s why he has developed that skill so much. He plays for Zenit Kazan Youth Team. Look also great sets by Pavel Pankov in that movie. The new European champions of Russia were undoubtedly the biggest favourite in Mexico. They won all matches. It is the third gold medal for Russia in the history of the age-group, having won also in 1999 in Riyad, Saudi Arabia and in 2005 in Aljiers and Oran, Algeria. They also claimed silver medals as the former Soviet Union in 1989 and 1991 and a bronze in 2001.

Wilfredo in 2011 the best setter was Brizard Antoine from France.

Pavel Pankov was on the Youth NT also in 2011. He was only 16 in the tournament and he was awarded best setter. Now he is 18 and he got MVP. He is 198cm. He also has very strong serves for his age. Pankov served 31 aces during the competition and had the top three highest totals of aces in a match with 8, 7 and 6 against Iran, China and Russia. “He is the leader of our team,” said his coach Alexander Karikov. “He learned how to play volleyball since he was a little kid of 4 years old because everyone in his family plays the game.His father played, his mother was an Olympic gold medalists and his sister is the setter of the women’s national team,” Karikov added. “He is very smart young man with an overall ability for the game.”

He is 198 cm. He got MVP of European Youth Champ.. He plays for Zenit Kazan Youth Team. He reaches 3.75 meters using his vertical jump. Block is 350 meters. He competed in high jump in athletics and that’s why he has developed that skill so much. To my thinking and point of view, Poletaev is the best spiker in the world in this category.
