@jais if miscow gonna keep vlasov lihosherstov dero and sokolov plus Leon. It’s gonna be strongest team.  But they wanna replace dero with Leon. So interesting to see

@Bob1988 Deroo will go, yes. But if they will succeed and build a team with Sokolov and Leon (+ Pankov, great setter), they will be the real fire power. It will be interesting though what Zenit will do next season. They will probably part ways with Ngapeth.

@jais zenit is really struggling now.  yes they most likely will let ngapeth go. They need to restructure their team cuz they are in really bad position. now. She. They had Anderson and Leon they were beating every single team so easy. Now they loosing to teams that in Russian league standing on the bottom. 

@jais I really cross my fingers for Modena. I would have 3 of my 5 favorites players in the same team, my god ?

@Sherlock I, personally, would prefer to see him in Perugia  - making them much stronger contenders and making the semifinals more interestin… :)

@J.P. Zaksa is the best club in Poland but this league has been weaker and weaker for the last years, I can't see them going further than quarterfinals in Champions League.

@Sherlock Well Yeah you're right in that. But just came up with the idea of what if Toniutti would go to Modena in the trade and Kampa just finding another club. I think that would be cool.

@Sherlock I agree, it would be better for him to stay in Italy, where the best volleyball is played. But I don't watch Polish league so I can't say how strong it is. We'll see this year in Champions league i guess.

@J.P. Yes, Kampa is good but far from Micah. Considering Modena's financial difficulties, Kampa will not be such a financial burden I guess. And thus making some space in the budget for the top class attacker. 

I don't think Toniutti to Modena is even an option. He was the first domino - because of his transfer to Jastrzebski, ZAKSA had to find new setter and contacted Micah.

@luad9604 Well, first, I don't think Caps Lock is necessary ? Second, I can not agree with you on De Cecco. He obviously has magical hands but his global level as a volleyball player is really under Bruno and Micah. He doesn't have the same agressivity, has not good enough block and serve.

@luad9604 I agree that De Cecco is the very top-class, but not the best. I remember one of his games, very important one, I think it was a Supercoppa finals against Lube, but I'm not sure. Well, the fact is, that he played really badly. Too short sets, not the right didtribution, attackers were not as efficient as usually. And yes, such a game happens to anyone, but to the best in the world game like that can't happen in the important games. Haven't seen Micah and Bruno ever struggle like this (if they did, please tell me).

@luad9604 plus, as sherlock has said, De Cecco doesn't block as well as Micah, doesn't have that strong serve (although he is not a bad server), and in my opinion Micah and Rezende are far better in defense, they read plays defensively and contribute a lot in that aspect of the game too.

@jais I 100 % agree with you, nothing more to add. That's why Micah and Bruno are far from the others for me.

@robj3 Yea you have right. But i think the middle of season is the worst time to talk about future transfers etc. I know, the Fans likes rumors, news etc. But players… I think doesn't like news or rumors like this…

@Sherlock can you share news in french by ngapeth's agent? If I understood the Italian news Ngapeth wanted to return to France from Berlin. Did he want to spend the holidays with his family at home? Why did he do that? What was the reason of such an action?

@jais I don't know really, as Berlin is close from France he probably wanted to spend time with his family. But that makes him miss the Russian Cup Final Four in the end of December and that's what made Alekno furious probably.

@Sherlock Well to be honest that is quite an irresponssible action. You can't do something like this if you are a professional. On the other hand I do understand why he would want to go home. If there is anything else, any more news, please share it :)

@jais Update : He's waited on sunday in Kazan. Let's see if a quarantine will make him the Cup Final Four and if everything will return to normal.

@Sherlock Yep, heard about that one. He will be back in Kazan on Sunday, the 20th. Reportedly there's no quarantine in Russia, only a negative PCR test, so he should be able to play in the Cup Finals.

@Sherlock I was watching SPB gametoday and commentator said that Matt will be playing there even before New Years. @Sherlock .  Sense China decide not to get any players from diff country.  Kliuka shoulder injured and cameho has injury on his knee. So they don’t have any good outside players. Poletaev has some physical issues too so he might play opposite too.

The news was also that Sedlaček will go to Shanghai (instead of Urnaut). And I don't find any useful sources about foreigners in chinese league. So I don't know…maybe there will be a twist in such direction. But so far, it looks like there's nothing official.

@jais It is a bit hard to conduct a training session with only 2 outside hitters available. Szerszeń's probably out until the end of the year and Täht for more than a month. Resovia will probably offer someone a few months contract if necessary and if any player is available.

@Archivist Does Resovia not have any youth players to rely on in the time that Täht is out?

@Archivist Yes, but this means they don't need any big caliber player. They could give a short-term contract to a young perspective player from Poland, there must be plenty of them. Even inside Resovia organization.

@jais Yes, I did not mention any "big caliber" player since it's hard to even find one now, but it also requires an experienced player to provide a suitable level for training session and most important, to provide a substitution during the match. Youth players seem like great idea for training session but to give a good substitution? Nevermind, will see.?

Yeah that's right. I mean the fourth reciever could easily be a young perspective player. But the one for substitution should be a more experienced one. We'll see. ?

@Sherlock Okay thanks. I already thought that happened. But do you know why Nillson then gets two different transfers in the same window, but players like Sket and Finger only get one, even though they also transfered to two different clubs this window?

@J.P. Well, for Alen Sket there was a problem and I remember that 
Afyon Belediye Yüntaş was added “manually” (only added new club on the player's profile without using the transfers section). Same problem from Finger, there's only Piacenza on his profile. He played for Al-Arabi in the beginning of the season, right ?

It seems that someone is deleting clubs where players played in the first months of the season before being transferred elsewhere. I know it's quite special but they can totally play in two clubs in the same season. I'll watch out for this issue.

@J.P. Well, someone already tried and I removed his proposition of removing the transfer. It looks like it has been validated while I was not here. Moderators need to be more careful to what they validate or delete..

@jais I really don't think his coming is related to Patry's injury, because they already have another very good opposite, Luan Weber. But obviously Urnaut is a superb transfer for them and he will be their number one outsider hitter. That's a shame for me because Basic will have almost no chance to play, but well, that's how it works.

@Sherlock well but obviously they have problems with Weber. I mean against Perugia it was first Maar and then Ishikawa on the opposite. And that's why I thought maybe Urnaut will be an outside so that Maar can move to the opposite. I don't know maybe I misjudged, maybe Weber is good enough.

Yes, I agree with you, I loved how Basic developed, he really upped his form and is a very good player. There will be a great rivalry on the outside hitter position from now on. 4 very good players. 

@Sherlock Anyway, there is some time before Urnaut will be able to return to the highest level. Firstly, he had a 14 day quarantaine and didn't touch the ball a lot. Secondly, he wasn't playing pro club volleyball since Modena in 2019. His last official match was with Slovenia NT in January, that's almost a year ago. That's why I am a bit cautious when talking about his form. Really interested to see how will he perform. And when he will return to his highest level.

@jais I didn't watch a lot of Milan's matches but Luan Weber impressed me last year in Sada Cruzeiro where he pushed Evandro on the bench ! I though he would be a good competition for Jean but it seems that there is no match. Let's see how it works though.
Yes I think Maar or Basic as the opposite would be a great idea if Weber is not good enough. Obviously Ishikawa and later Urnaut are too precious in reception to make them play as opposite spikers. 

@Sherlock Yes, Maar looks like he has a physicality needed for being the opposite. You're right about the reception though.
