Interesting choices in the OH position for sure. I think Lavia and Michieletto will be the core of the team in the coming years.

Regarding Colaci, maybe the coaches are banking on him being healthy throughout the tournament. Same goes with Egonu, who's the only opposite hitter on the women's team.

Other teams have only one libero as well like USA, France and Russia.

This is why I wanted France to advance to the finals. I wanted Patry to win best Opposite since Luburic wasn't eligible too.
