Their serve started to go in, they handled their reception really well and got to work on block as well, Mikhaylov got back in the game as well, Granking was distributing well and he did not pass to Musersky that much at all after the 3rd set. You might also want to ask the great Rezende, why did his team insisted on serving in the russian libero when Mikhaylov was right there receiving as well.

Sometimes it is not a matter of motivation, but you just get outplayed. Like the match today, everything was working in Australias part of the court. Crazy digs, great reception, great block, smart distribution. At top 10 there are no weak teams, everyone can beat everyone else. So if you are not motivated to play against a top 10 team, then this is a big problem.

I am afraid that i will have to agree with MasterOPuppets. We always blow up our important matches in the important phases of all tournaments, i really do hope we break that satus quo this time though.

Russia beat Germany 3-0. The germans had chances in the first set only, the other 2 sets the Russians killed them, one class above the germans. At one point Schops played as a receiver, as the short german receivers were getting killed by the Russian block, but that didnt help. The Russians are in a much, much better form than in the WL.

The clubs in Bulgaria are basically reaping the players off really bad, most of the players are basically slaves. They are forced( extorted ) to sign contracts for life with the teams or very long term contracts ( is there any other federation that allows that anywhere else ? ) and the bulgarian clubs that own their rights collect 60% (sometimes even 80%) of their earnings in European or other foreign clubs ( have you heard of anything like that ? ) and collect all the transfer fees. Also, Lazarov has created a huge amount of fictitious ( as in on paper only ) volleyball clubs, so that he can collect their votes and pass his decisions and rule forever. The players are mostly afraid to stand up for their rights, because of the for life contracts, the clubs can basically terminate their contracts with foreign teams and stop their playing rights. A ridiculous way to rule a sport and basically profit from it just for yourself ( Lazarov and the people around him ).
