#QuatreBornes

QBVBC was founded in 2000 to promote the sport of volleyball within the region of Quatre-Bornes. Our mission is to boost the sport of volleyball into the realm of professional sports that are watched by local nationals as well as regional and international spectators.

The primary objective of QBVBC is thus to organize a strong and dedicated team of volleyball players who have great passion in volleyball. They will promote volleyball and bring it to be affordable and fun for all ages. Furthermore, they will participate in championships at the national, regional and international level in various volleyball competitions.

The emphasis at QBVBC is therefore simple…winning! We aim to finish every competition in the number one position. As a sponsor we invite you to be there with us on our journey and share the thrill of Quatre-Bornes. Be a part of our team, and be seen.

As highlighted above, QBVBC consists of both male and female players. The feminine team was split in 2002 due to financial problems but since 2010 the feminine was set up and has amongst its rank players who have played at national and regional level. Therefore, our hope for the feminine volleyball team, together with the dedicated players, is that the team will participate in the first division volleyball championship this year.

As for the men’s team, their performance over the years is remarkable. In 2000, they won the Regional Volleyball First Division Championship and were promoted to the National Volleyball First Division. During that same year, they were the runner up in the Quatre-Bornes Divali Cup and Volleyball Festival of Vacoas-Phoenix.

From the years onwards, the performance of QBVBC has been outstanding as can be seen from the credentials outlined in the following pages. Players of QBVBC have also adhered to the national team to represent Mauritius at the national level. The Coach, Lindsay Wilson, has been appointed as the head coach for the national women’s team in 2007 and for the national men’s team of Mauritius in 2009. These achievements are the effort of the club as a whole and today to be able to continue to achieve success, we need the help of other dedicated persons as well as the financial support as described thereafter
