Italy wins 3-1 against Argentina in their friendly match.

The Italians pulled off a win over the Argentinians. It's important to note that all the sets they won were extended sets. 

Despite the win, the Blengini-led team still has a lot of things to improve on if they want to win a medal in the Olympics. Their passing can be easily exploited by heavy serving teams like Poland (Leon, Bieniek). But it's great to see that they are able to make comebacks within a set and grind it out in the endgame.

STANDOUTS:

Juantorena - easily the most consistent out of all the veterans.

Michieletto - excellent all around game from attacks, defense, service and blocks 

Galassi - refreshing to see an Italian MB with an effective jump serve 

UNDERPERFORMER:

Zaytsev - his serves were nowhere to be found
