simon was mvp n the grand champions cup in japan 2009 and the cuban team leave that tournament in 2nd place and well the guy won 2 prizes block and serve so was deserved by simon in 2001 ivan miljkovic win the MVP of this tournament and the winners was the cuban boys so i thing its more for the minor competetiotions

I'm talking about the major championships like : Champions League, WC, EC, Olympics, World Ch.

NightFox, its not true, I remember that Simon get MVP, but Cuba was 2nd od 3rd. I cant remember kind of tournament, maybce GCHC ?

yep NightFox You're right. For others - rest awards is for players who was on the first place in statistics. Łasko was 2nd in best attacker and 2nd best scorer, so he coudn't take this awards...

maybe you're right but organizer claims that MVP must be from the winning team... like they are not happy enough for 1st place... :D

and Qi ren is standing on the other side, so eventually the mvp can stand in the middle. For commercial reasons

Lasko should have won eihter best scorere or best spiker.

for me the best player on this tournament was Michał Łasko,now he is one of the best opposite on the world.In the near future movie about him :)
