Thanks to great play of Dmitriy Ilinykh and Dmitriy Muserskiy, they won that game in four sets. Cuban Osmany Mestre played great competition, he had 45% efficiency in attack and he scored 16 points. He is the absolute leader of Cuban national team during the World Championship 2014. Russia captain Sergey Makarov said: "We are very happy that we won this match especially if the result was 3-1. Now we are going to Katowice to play against Brazil and Germany. We will be preparing mentally and physically for those meetings. Everybody in our team is in a good shape so we hope that we will show a great volleyball".
