Winter arrivals: from Brazil to Hungary

After just a few days celebrating New Year’s Eve in Brazil, the ’not-yet-famous’ volleyball couple, @AnnaLoureiro (23) and @RenanSalton (23) were headed to Hungary in January to live their new adventure together in 2020. Anna was spotted first on the list of ’players looking for a club’ on women.volleybox.net by @AlbertNemes just days before Christmas. After a brief persuasion, her boyfriend, Renan also got the opportunity to sign for a Hungarian NB I Liga team. This is the very first time the couple play together in the same foreign country. They were without club since last season, Anna played for Kosovar team KVF Ferizaj, Renan played for Castêlo da Maia Ginásio Clube in Portugal. Both of their new teams are fighting against relegation. Anna will play for a team of Debrecen as the very first player from the Americas of her new club. Renan joined the 111-year-old club, MÁV Előre SC of Székesfehérvár. Together with Cuban Yanier Cordies Salazar and Ukrainian Pavlo Dykun, he will be the third non-EU player of the team roster.
