Great star of Russian volleyball: Semyon Poltavskiy (Russian: Семён Владимирович Полтавский) born 8 February 1981 in Odessa was a member of the men's national team that won the silver medal at the 2007 European Championship in Moscow. Documentary about The Olympics 1992
The 1992 Men's Olympic Volleyball Tournament was the 8th edition of the event, organized by the world's governing body, the FIVB in conjunction with the IOC. It was held in Barcelona, Spain from 26 July to 9 August 1992. The finals, at Barcelona’s renowned "Palau Sant Jordi", were quite a spectacle according to the 1992 Official Olympic Report, especially the men’s: "The rhythm of the Brazilian victories swelled the ranks of their supporters, clearly identifiable by the green of their shirts". The supporters of the Dutch team, in their fluorescent orange shirts, also contributed to the atmosphere. Boca Río Uruguay Seguros - UPCN Voley Club (4th match)
This game was amazing, UPCN Voley Club played nice match. They played with a calm and conviction in what they had to do, really shows the fantastic team they are. MVP of game was Diego Bonini with 21 points (he was one of the best players in the A1 Argentine League 2011/12). He played with number 1. In season 2011/12 UPCN won the Master Cup (October) after beating one of the best teams in the country, Buenos Aires United, which line up some volleyball stars as spiker: Milinković, Cuban middle-blocker: Ihosvany Hernández, setter: Firpo and American Olympic champion: Riley Salmon. Polish League 2011/12 (Highlights)
Glory moments of Polish Plusliga 2011/12. After 7 years of domination of Skra Belchatow, Resovia Rzeszow became a new champion. The final result is a huge surprise! A real hero of Rzeszow was Georg Grozer. He was a killer in all matches, but today it was practically "one man show". He was amazing in attack and defense, he also made a real difference in service. It was also the last match of German player in Resovia, because he is leaving Poland to play in Russian Superliga.16 4799 -
