Russia - Iran (World League 2013, 2nd match)

Russia left no chance for Iran during their second match of the World League 2013. They won 3:1 in Kaliningrad on Saturday. Despite Iran’s loss is an improvement from Friday’s first meeting between the teams, which ended 3:0 for Russian. New players of the Russian team on the court: Nikolay Pavlov, Artem Volvich and Maxim Zhigalov. Nikolay Pavlov was the best player of match with 21 points, while Ghafour Amir scored 15 points for Iran. "We did too many mistakes in service today as well as the Russian team", said Iranian captain Marouflakrani Mir Saeid. "We don't expect to win every match 3-0 and besides we have some new players in the team. We will analyse this game and correct our mistakes", said Russian coach Andrey Voronkov. In the next weekend, the Russia will meet the Serbia at the same venue (Kaliningrad).
