Luciano De Cecco joined national team in World League 2006 (but he didn't play in any match). He was only 18 years old when he made his debut in World Championship. The 25-year old setter has been chosen by Association of Sports Journalists in Argentina as the Best Volleyball Player of 2012. This talented setter truly deserves this award! His team, Argentina took fifth place in The Olympics 2012. Let's see his great sets to single block or without block, his serves, blocks and other amazing actions in that tournament.0 4922 -

EuroVolley 2013 Highlights (3rd movie)
VELUX EuroVolley 2013 offered some unforgettable volleyball moments. The world class producer Henrik Saabye took some fantastic ultra-motion pictures from the Championship. Enjoy the beauty of volleyball. All 36 games was watched live at Polish and Danish halls by 105 970 fans (average of 2 944 per game). The most fans (10800) was on the match between Poland and Slovakia in Gdańsk and the less in match Czech Republic - Bulgaria (500). Final match between Russia and Italy was watched live at "Parken Arena" stadium by 7 000 fans. Fans from 33 countries, e.g. Canada, Australia, and Japan, had traveled to Copenhagen to be part of the historic Final Four Weekend in Parken football stadium. Semi finals, bronze medal match and final were broadcasted to more than 160 countries, and the Danish winner of the European Song Contest, Emmelie de Forest, sang at the closing ceremony.2 6293 -

Copra Piacenza - Exprivia Molfetta (last points)
Last points from game between Copra Piacenza and Exprivia Molfetta (08.12.2013). "We are in a good shape and we have been playing well in recent times", says spiker of Copra Piacenza: Luca Vettori (he scored 15 points, 56% in attack). "We just won our last game with Exprivia Molfetta in three sets. We need to be as focused as possible on the coming game with Tours VB. We lost the away match in France but this time we are playing at home and I am confident that we’ll celebrate a happy end". The home advantage is very important as Piacenza lost their last game at the PalaBanca this past February 24 as they played Trentino Volley in the national league. There were a lot of rumors in recent period about possible transfer of young opposite in Modena. However, Vettori denied them, and stated that his future is connected only with Piacenza: "Those are just rumors, nothing more. Piacenza is the strongest team in which I can play, and I would love to stay here". Piacenza is playing really good this season, and has seven wins out of eight games in Serie A.0 2363 -
kasatka39 ·Russian national team shows huge strength again! Team coached by Andrey Voronkov, after getting World League title, grabs title of European Champion. Not counting Soviet Union, it's first title for "Sborna" in the history. Nikolay Pavlov with Dimitriy Muserskiy and Alexey Verbov played great tournament. With this success, Russia also got the right to represent Europe at the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Champions Cup scheduled for this coming November in Kyoto and Tokyo, Japan. Russia and Italy won also tickets for the next World Champs 2014. Russians showed that they are the best without their leader Maxim Mikhaylov (imagine how strong they will be when he will return the team after rehabilitation). Russian team wins almost every title on the international level in last few years.

Argentina - France (Highlights)
In a terrific match in Polideportivo Delmi, France achieved another victory to keep alive their hopes of a place in the World League Finals Six in Mar del Plata. This game showed us an incredible nature of volleyball - everything can change in any moment and you can basically come back from hell and defeat your rival. France won that match in the tie-break! Earvin N'Gapeth was the best scorer with 24 points. Laurent Tillie (coach of France NT) on the press conference said: "I’m happy because it’s not usual for us to defeat Argentina, but we wanted the three points because we had a slight chance of coming back to Argentina, to Mar del Plata (for the Finals). On the third and fourth set, Argentina played great volleyball and we fell a little, but in the end I’m happy about the win and we want to repeat tomorrow".0 4560 -

Italian League 2012/13 Decoration
Decoration of the best teams in the Italian Serie A 2012/13. Trentino Volley get Scudetto, winning in the 5th match against Copra Piacenza. In the last match Robertlandy Simon and Hristo Zlatanov were unstoppable. Cuban player scored 20 points! Especially his achievement in attack is impressive (he finished 11 of 15 spikes). On the other side Matey Kaziyski and Jan Stokr played nice game. Luciano De Cecco great set and Zaytsev "great" spike
Look at perfect parabolic of ball's flight. Young Luca Vettori should try to spike that ball. Look at the score, Copra was almost sure of victory in this match and advance to the final of Serie A! Lube was sure favorite to play in the final in that season. They were unstopabble in the regular round, but they failed in the most important matches in that season. Copra played in the final of Serie A for the last time in season 2008/09 against Trentino and they were better then. Trentino will want to take revenge for those matches. Also Ivan Zaytsev made "huge" shot in that action. I wonder where the ball stopped. First training of Simon in Piacenza
Big news! Simon is allowed to play in Copra Piacenza! On Friday Italian federation of volleyball received information from FIVB that Robertlandy Simon is allowed to play in Italian Copra. After that managers of Piacenza started the procedure of Simon's notification to Serie A 2012/13. Probably decision of FIVB was reaction to protest of Copra's fans during match Copra - Modena, which was showed in TV. There is a chance that he will debut in next Sunday during a match against Bre Banca Cuneo. He will play for sure in Challenge Cup match against Istanbul BBSK. After that decision Cuban Osmany Juantorena said: "I am very happy that Simon finally returned to the game. Being banned isn't a pleasant thing. 45-minutes documentary about final match in The Olympics on the Channel One (Russia). There are Obmochaev's wedding in 43:42. Cute moment with Mikhaylov and his mom in 43:30. He hang a gold medal on her neck. You can see on the video father, wife and son of Tetyukhin and Volkov's parents. Unfortunately in the Russian language. He's representative of Serbia, playing now in San Giustino (ITA). He was a member of the national team at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing and 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Qualifying for the Olympic Games 2012 in London is a huge achievement by the Turkish team and the fans and players were stoked. "Today is a very special day for me. We stepped out today with the will to win, the fact that we managed to do so with such a clear result is overwhelming. We're overjoyed and dedicate this victory to all the people of Turkey" - said Neslihan Darnel. They’re peaking at the right time so it’s no wonder they won the European Olympic Qualification in front of their home crowd and then finished 3rd at World Grand Prix 2012. kasatka39 ·Guys of Vladimir Alekno played great volleyball. Russia won the World League after long 9 years, its the second World league trophy for the Russian team. Let's celebrate one more time with Vladimir Alekno and his players. See amazing video with only the best players in the world. Russia was the best team of this edition of World League losing only one game in a group. Murilo didn't have his day and Giba couldn't do miracles by himself. Brazil won the first set, but after the change of Russian setters the match was fully in the hands of Russian team. Many mistakes on serve allowed Brazil to win the fourth set, but in the tie-break team of Russia national team won 15:11.13 6463
