Georg Grozer in match Resovia Rzeszów - Skra Bełchatów

Georg Grozer was a sensation of Play-off's round of Plusliga 2011/12. Skra Bełchatów haven't won Champion's title for the first time for 8 years. Grozer was their real killer. He scored scored 31 points for Resovia in fourth match (he ended 23 of 33 balls - 70% in attack). Spiker of German national team was best player of three matches won by Resovia Rzeszów. After second game in the final it was known that he won't stay in Poland and he will play in Russian team Belgorod in season 2012/13. After one season in Russia he extended the contract for two years (he will play to 2015 year for Belogorie Belgorod).

zver, I said MANY superpowerful spikers over the age of 30, I know he is an exeption and he has maintained his power and endurance very well ;) raylight, I thought we were taliking about jumping not injuries, but yes he has been injured alot, but I am pretty shure that he can do one leg full squats with 60kg on his back.

And how often does Wlazly stays injured, because he squats with 60kgs? And why he would want to improve his jump btw? If you squat your bodyweight you have one jump, if you squat double bodyweight you have significantly higher jump, but volleyball players don't need and edge, right? They will pull themselves up for the hair just like baron von munchhausen Tell me it's normal that 165kg man at 185cm has 90cm, more then most proffesional players, who are half of his weight and 15cm higher.

And after that jump he was gasping air for 5 minutes :D Btw, I can do that easely. I'd say that you overvalue power a little, look at Wlazy, is he a huge weightlifter, nope, but look how high he jumped in 2006-2008, if you don't have explosiveness than you won't jump, end of story, but you also need power to help you.

Explosiveness is expression of strength. If F is force, power is dF/dt. If the Force is strong in you, you got the power

The strenght that I meant is explosiveness, the nr 1 thing in being in a good shape for volleyball, if you are explosive than you can reach high, spike hard and be dynamic. You don't see many superpowerful spikers that are over 30 years old, they are usually between 22-28 years old. You can still spike as hard when you are 28 or 30, but you can't spike like that for many spikes in a row and you won't jump that much after a few spikes in a row. Opposites have to spike a lot of sets so Grozer's best years are over becouse of his style.

Power players have power up to 40 years, ask Tethyukhin. Power is based on strength and strength doesn't decay very fast. Endurance is lost first

raylight I don't think so, this season in Russia has not been even nearly as impressive I have heard. He is too old to be rising, becouse his style is still like a panzer, a player with the style of Scops can rise if he is 28 years old, but not power players.

Unbelievable form in those finals, he almost alone destroyed Skra. @hanes in the first year in Resvoia George had weak moments aswell, he had to adapt, in second season he won the Championship. I don't follow Russian League that much, so I can't judge his game but his team won Russian Cup.

0.12 No words... He was sick in Plusliga Last two years were his best, but I think his best years are over now, he hasn't been the same in Russia, but he is still a great player ;)
