Argentina won Olympic qualification in World qualifying tournament played in Matosinhos (Portugal). They faced Japan in that tournament again and won 3:0. That match was decisive, Japan haven't get Olympic qualification cause of that defeat. Argentina played great in The Olympics 2000. They were real "black horse" in Sydney. They took 4th place, Marcos Milinkovic was best scorer and libero Pablo Meana was the best receiver.
