Bulgaria in World Championships 2006
There was a first Bulgarian success after a few years without any medals on the international area. Before semi-final against Poland everyone in Bulgaria was very excited and there was a huge interest around the volleyball in that time. Nice lasers in Spodek hall after final match in World League 2007 Final Six between Russia and Brazil. Playground was preparing to the decoration so organizers created illumination like that. Thanks to the great play in the defence Piotr Gacek became the first libero of Polish National Team (instead of Krzysztof Ignaczak) in years 2006 and 2007. Unfortunately he hadn't a stable reception like in that movie. But luckily he get a point in that action thanks to his bad reception.
