Łukasz Żygadło left Poland in 2004 and since then he came back to PlusLiga only for one season (2007/2008 in Kędzierzyn-Koźle). He has experience in Turkey (Halkbank Ankara, Panathinaikos Athens), Italy (Trentino Volley) and, of course, he played in Russia (Kaliningrad, Urengoy). He seems to feel good in every climate. Now, a big challenge is ahead of him. He will play in season 2013/14 in the new club. Zenit Kazan is a team with a lot of ambition and a hunger for success, because this last season was not really great for them. Kazan gained "only" two bronze medals: of Russian Superliga and in the Champions League. Now they are thinking about improve this result and Łukasz Żygadło (replacing Valerio Vermiglio) is one of those who is supposed to solve the problem. The curiosity: Żygadło has a master's degree in business and economics ;-)

Short video from matches between Poland and Serbia played in Milicz and Twardogóra during the "Star Alley". This year’s celebrations were scheduled for May 24-25 with Poland’s national team playing a couple of friendly matches with Serbia to finalize their preparations for World League. However, before these matches, some glorious names in the history of the sport will leave their handprints in the city center in Milicz. Three time World Champion and 2004 Olympic Champion Giba and 1990 world champion/triple European champion (1989, 1993 and 1995) Andrea Zorzi was inducted into the Hall of Fame. In the ceremony took be attended also by Serbia’s Volleyball legends: Vladimir and Nikola Grbić as well as by Wojciech Drzyzga and Krystyna Wlecial who collected many awards with Poland’s national teams on the international stage. Charity match for the UNICEF organization between Skra and some of players from the Polish NT. Income will be donated to starving children in Chad. Match was played in experimental formula to 5 won sets (all of them were played to 15 points). Match turned out to be a dud. In the and of the match most of the fans was bored. In Skra's team played also Zygmunt Chajzer (TV presenter and journalist) and Jerzy Janowicz (tennis player).

Great production by GMCnetwork. The future of Polish volleyball in action: Piotr Nowakowski. He played in Polish Plusliga since 2007. Nowakowski played in one of the best matches in Polish volleyball history: AZS Częstochowa victory against Iskra Odintsovo in CEV Cup 2007/08. Sergio (libero of Brazil NT) said: "His serve is perfect. When the server is able to break the opponent’s reception and makes the things easier for his team block, then he is a good server". He plays for Resovia Rzeszów now.
