It was a great match, especially in the first set. Cristian Poglajen and Facundo Conte contributed 18 and 17 points, respectively, for the Argentine win, while Kervin Pinerua had a good offensive game with 22 points. On the press conference, Argentina coach Julio Velasco said: "Today was a difficult match because in the beginning we started with different players from yesterday because we need to get all the players into the rhythm of the competition. Also, Venezuela played so well, especially in defence and attack. We won the second set, but in the third set, Venezuela played well again. We had problems with continuity. The sets we won were clear. For our team, it’s a good thing if we think about Olympic qualification in October. I don’t want my players to think it will be an easy competition. Tt will be a very difficult one."
