Lets think about Vissotto. He was playing for Trentino, and so, he returned to Brazil. I'm sure he loves Brazil but I'm sure loves much more making money. So, I have no doubt he has a better salary in Brazil than when he was playing for Trento. About Giba, I heard a different value for his salary (about R$400,000.00 = USD235,000.00 per month).

Of course that isn't official, but I've heard that the most well paid salary for a volleyball player in Brazil is for GIBA, playing in Pinheiros team. Up to R$ 120.000,00 (around 70 thousand US dollars)

Brazilian players want to play in their country and they are well paid there. I think that this strategy is not good for them, because they don't play against the strongest players from other countries, but these are their decisions

yeah, but only for two or three players (the very best ones). Average salaries for brazilian players is high. So, I'm comparing salaries for regular players (most of them) not only stars. If you compare salaries for the stars, Giba's or Gustavo salaries are better than their salaries playing in Europe. At least it was they said in interviews for brazilian TV.

Maybe because brazilian teams are paying better than european teams. For instance, this video shows a volleyball supporter against service machine (btwn second and third sets). If the supporter could receive the ball and send it to other net side, inside the blue area before 3 meter line, the support would win USD6,000.00. So, you can imagine the players salaries are even more. So, for the moment, I think only in Russia a volleyball player is paid better than in Brazil.
