@hanes233 and also AleNickel: about height, we have a pretty common way of saying here in Italy "il vino buono sta nella botte piccola" which, more or less, sounds like "good wine is in small barrels" ? I think the English for it is "good things come in small sizes" or something like that ?
I know many many people in amateur volleyball (95%), which are smaller than me, BUT - I can say certainly, that height is nothing in volleyball. You have to be quick, smart and powerful, thats all. Dont give up only for your height, its stupid. Volleyball is for everybody and we volleyballers must support these people, who starting with it.
@AleNickel yeh i gess you'r right... i think people give to much importance to height and vertical jumps and forget what is more important in volleyball, inteligence, quickness and learn how to do a little bit of everything. Thanks ?
you have perfect reach to your height. Dont worry man!!! I know some guys, which have your height and jump under 280 ?) so your jump is perfect and weight is good too
Omg! I'm so tiny in comparison with all of you. I have only a 1.60 height! ;/ Reach, block?! I have no idea ? the only thing which I remember is that my jump is 49 cm. I was reciever but now I'm setter. ahhh. And I'm 17.
jurka11 your reach 269 with your height is that possible? Is this in shoes or not? Because I have 198 and reach 258cm and you have 270? If it is true, that you have arms like frankenstein....
but he is to young to traing his jump on the gym, I know it , his back and knees arent ready yet to this kind of training, I know by reading many forums and by my own exeprience, it is not good when knees hurts ?

More muscle /natural/, stronger ligaments, thickening of bones, therefore lower risk of injuries during games, more power. It is beneficial for everyone, not just players

Raylight I had some experience in a gym with your 15 kg muscles....3.september 2010 83kg and 19. september 2010 96kg. Only creatine and gym. In the first tournament, my knee crashed and still hurts sometimes. So sometimes is better lower weight and be careful like lets make some muscles and water here. He is still so young to do such a hard changes on your body
If you train lower reps you will get less weight with more strength and less water in the body /even with creatine/ I doubt your knee crashed because of this, look Stokr or Dennis, they are like Ronnie Coleman of volleyball, that's the way a player should be playin'
Yeah Štokr, Štokr plays only hiiiiiigh ball. Because It tooks sooooo long to get his body in the air. He is very strong but very slow. I dont know about Denis, I know only his perfect serve. I never have seen him playing, so its too bad for me.
you dont know šuš ? ? I dont know exactly is writing. Its english origin I hope. šuš means quiet or be quiet or dont talk(command). We slovakians have almost equal word : čuš (command) ?
Maybe, but I was 6years ago on school trip in London and one british mother sad their kids, when they bother us word no hush(haš) but it was clearly šuš (talking like without u, just šš). But I dont want to arque with you, I want to provoke you,but again we are discussing so far from this topic ?
