None of the Russian outside hitters played their best in the first two sets. Musergsky can play any position, for sure, as all of us could see. Alekno made a great move to put him into opposite position. Brasilians were not ready for this. Kind of Gamova on the right side ;-)

Well, I was wrong about Russia, I guess. Setter change made a huge difference in their game. More kills from the middle. And Volkov and Musergsky are just unstoppable. To all polish friends here: it was a great season.

So far... I guess I was right ;-).

Grozer looked dissappointing. Russia looked shaky from time to time. The setter doesn't have connection with centers. I liked Poland and USA today. It's way too early to say anything more definite at this point.

I really hope it's nbd with Mikhailov. Would love to see two great opposites facing each other: Mikhailov-Grozer.
