Free player + Modena aiming at top setter = contacts open. But very difficult transfer process.

@casamodena: That's the reason, why I am asking about this. I don't know, how big budget Modena had in few last seasons, but honestly I think that signing Marouf then could be difficult, despite that Bruno is also expensive setter. Right now, with financial problems, signing Marouf will be much harder.

@nyshek: nah, I think there's no way to make that deal done; waaay too expensive for Modena.

@nyshek: @siela21: You can play with current budget (which is pretty low) or estimate in advance your final budget to make your decisions. If it will happen, hiring of Marouf is for sure expected to return visibility and audience from Iran, where even international companies are heavily investing in volleyball. Difficulties are related to either if and how this could take place. Personally, I wouldn't bet on it as investors have nearly no benefits in financing italian volleyball.

@casamodena: but still it's not for sure that iranians will vaccine they money in the club ? did that happened to Kazan? iranians put their money in iranians clubs, nowhere else ?

@siela21: Different situation: Kazan was looking for a setter and nothing else. Here if it happens, it happens only if this helps enhancing actual budget, it's matter of business. In 2014 season Modena successfully found partners in Japan, meaning that it may be worth it. And after all, there's still DHL behind.

@Olwap: He's on the list, and his new club had to be AS Cannes. Strange

@nyshek: AS Cannes is going through tough period in financial terms and Watten isn't cheap libero. So they might gave up on him after Czarni's offer. But, it's true they announced Watten as their new player
