Estonia - Poland (SET5) - part 2
That result was surprise for most of fans in the world! Poland was leading 12:7 in tie-break, however the hosts were better than one of the best national teams in the world. Team coached by Raul Lozano (then-coach of Polish NT) after loosing with Montenegro (also in the tie-break), this time did not handle the Estonia. Nobody was expecting Estonia to win even one set with Polish national team, so there was no surprise that Poland finished the first and the second set without any problems. Polish League 2008/09 Highlights
For the fifth time a team from Belchatow reached the championship title. The public in the Rzeszow hall saw the match after two meetings in Belchatow. In spite of great effort of home team, Belchatow controlled the game and deserved the victory in the last final game. The final match can be described as a dignified final of Plusliga. Coach of Skra Bełchatów Daniel Castellani said: "I am very pleased that my work in Skra has been finished with the gold medal, in a team which created the best conditions. I won three times polish championship with Belchatow. Now I will work with Polish national team".49 11030 -

He competed at the Summer Olympics in Athens and Beijing and in the Volleyball World League in 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2007. Volleybox ·Giba suffered from leukemia as a child. He started playing volleyball when he was 12. His first official tournament on the national team was South American Championships 1995. In 2002, at the height of his fame, in his organism marijuana was detected. He was disqualified for a few months. The biggest punishment for him was sullying his spotless reputation. He wanted to explain it in several interviews. Finally he decided to take part in the anti-drug campaign conducted by Brazilian federation of volleyball. He decided also to admit to smoking. He declared that he won't do it anymore. In 2003 he returned to the team with tarnished reputation and out of shape. He was just a reserve player. Breakthrough came in the final match of World League 2003 against Yugoslavia in Madrid. At the beggining Brazil was loosing so Rezende decided to put Giba into the court. Rezende hit the jackpot. Brazil started playing well and won in incredible tie-break 31:29. Giba seal the victory by his incredible last attack in that game. He is the most recognized volleyball player in the world. He was MVP of The Olympics 2004, World Championships 2006 and World Cup 2007. After his last match he said: "I am leaving national team, but I'm so proud that I could be with this team for 20 years, with this boys, with this coach".72 56382

Volleybox ·Dante began his professional career in 1999 with the club Tres Corações. After another two years at Brazilian clubs Suzano São Paulo and Minas Belo Horizonte, in 2002 he got transferred to Italy, playing with Pallavolo Modena, where he won the CEV Cup. In 2005 he joined Greek team Panathinaikos. So far, he has won the Greek championship in 2006 and the Greek cup and supercup in 2007. Dante is also a member of the Brazil men's national volleyball team since 1999. Among the titles he has won with Brazil is the Olympic gold medal in 2004 and the World Championship in 2002 and 2006. In both the 2004 Olympic Games and 2006 World Championship he was nominated as the best spiker, while he was the best blocker in 2005 World League. He plans on visiting Nain, Labrador in late 2011. Amaral won the Best Spiker award in the 2011 South American Championship. His team won the Gold Medal and the 2011 World Cup berth.64 46645
