Wild is to whistle on opponent's anthem - to whistle on their serve is part of the game. That's called home advantage. And Spiridonov is a sportsmen, not one from the crowd. About the block - the role of the block is not only to block, it is shaping the opponent strategy for attack. In this sense, Bulgarian block helped a lot Russian players to make errors. Yes, the bigger motivation of Bulgaria, combined with the Balkan atmosphere was main factor, but the block was there too, especially in the first match. BTW, such whistling is the gentle version, since in Varna a lot of people are fens of Russia and russophiles. Imagine what will be for another country :D

bulgarian block and fans influenced some episodes, but i wouldn't say team russia got really frustrated by its prominent actions for the whole game just rememember how many block points only Biryukov got on Sokolov, 4?5? and face it, Todorov (wich is of course talanted,there's nothing to argue about) didn't cause us many problems. He managed to block our players but not that often as you would like to think i know you're clever enough to understand,there were some other dominating reasons which made team russia make mistakes i mean, i don't understimate bulgaria's player's skills, i just believe these games were not about your excellent block as you say and by the way, to be honest,bulgarian fans surprised me unplesantly i haven't seen for a long time such agressive and disrespectful attitude towards the opponent. it shocked a lot, especially after the german fans. and raylight, in terms of it we can return to the question of what is wild,and what is not to my mind,comparing to yours xD

And Bulgarian block, which forces the opponent to make mistakes in attack, also the Bulgarian public which broke their rhythm making them loose concentration. The victory was not random, I must say

i agree with saku the secret of team bulgaria's success in those two matches is bulgaria's determination and russia's mistakes.

luck is a luck, and more it comes from opponent mistakes
