Russia - Brazil (World League 2013, short cut)

The Olympic champions defeated Brazil in the final of the World League 2013. They got golden one more time! There were only three sets in that match. Dmitriy Muserskiy and Nikolay Pavlov (MVP) destroyed Brazil and led their team to the gold medal. The result was a repeat of the Olympic Games final when Russia beat Brazil, that time in five sets although only four members - Nikolay Apalikov, Sergey Grankin, Dmitriy Muserskiy and Maxim Mikaylov - of that Olympic team were featuring in Mar del Plata. Andrey Voronkov on the press conference said: "We are very happy with this gold medal. We went step by step towards the finals. It was a difficult tournament for us, so our happiness is hugeI think, at the moment, not all the Brazilian players are in their highest level, that was the reason why we could win easily".
