You don't have to be a setter to do that. I'm wing-spiker and I have done that 3 or 4 times at practice when the our setter was injured.

I was stunned when I saw that almost half of his spikes are from zone 6 (pipe) . Cuneo do it so often with Wijsmans, but they still can't block him lol.
