VfB Fredrichshafen won the first match in the final series against Berlin Volleys 3:1 (25:20, 23:25, 25:17, 25:23). Team coached by Stelian Moculescu opened match by winning the first set. In the second, away side managed to make come back.
In another two sets, Friedrichshafen played with much more confidence and won the opening match. Maarten van Garderen was the best scorer on VfB side with 19 points. The next match is on schedule April 22th in Berlin.
