Fabio Vullo fantastic set

Do you remember nice set the ball from 12th meter to the wing by Ricardo Garcia in match against Serbia in World Championships 2006? There is similar action made by Italian setter: Fabio Vullo. He was born in Massa, and played as setter (although at the beginning of his long career, he played as spiker). Despite being unanimously considered as one of World's best setters ever, Vullo found rarely place in Italy national team, so he did not take part in much of the victories of that team in the 1990s. He won eight Italian titles, one European Champions cup, and, with Italian national team, one World League (1992). Vullo stopped playing in 2004, and is currently working as TV commentator.

Great action from great stars: Zorzi hits a tenfooter and gets digged by Karch, then set by Vullo and kill by Timmons.

@eivindp: Respect. Gotta say "thank you" for recognizing all those great stars on the video. So many legends playing together, guys that wrote their names in vball history. It’s unfortunate, but some Italian fans don’t like Fabio Vullo, they associate him to the 1992 Olympics failure. I like him a lot, much better than Paolo Tofoli, for example. As for the set itself, I’m still more impressed with Ricardo’s backset to André (longer distance, faster and more precise). Besides, Timmons practically had no block, once the opponent middle was running late. Another great set of this kind was that one by Sergio to Zlatanov in Piacenza.

Not just the set (that indeed was better), but the hit too. Remember that on 2006's action, the opposite was a left-handed. Being a right-handed hitter complicates the hit if the ball is coming behind from your left should to the right side of the court. In other words, AMAZING!
