France - Brazil (World League 1990, full match)

French television: Canal + showed full match between Brazil and France in first edition of World League. In 1990 World League was very modest: "only" 8 teams, 52 matches, 52 host cities, 270 000 spectators and a 1 000 000$ in prize-money for winners. Brazil's national team won all sets without any problems. That was game of group B (Intercontinental round). There was real battle between Laurent Chambertin-Maurício Lima (both of setters played nice game). You could see there amazing teams in the action. Commentary of Gilles Petit and Charles Bietry. Brazil's national team scored 21 points in that group. The team took 2nd place, They lost semi-final match against The Netherlands in three sets. They finally took 3rd place in World League 1990. France, Japan, USA and China, meanwhile were eliminated (they took 3rd and 4th place in group A, B).
