It was held in Fukuoka (group A), Kobe (goup B), Sendai (group C), Sapporo (group D), Kawasaki (group E), Uozu (group F), Hiroshima (group G), Osaka (group G), Chiba (group H), Hamamatsu (group H) and Tokyo (Final Round), Japan from November 13 to November 29, 1998. Italy national team won final game against Yugoslavia in three sets (15:12, 15:5, 15:10).
